In partnership with SOREL
Happy holiday season! Whenever I think of cold weather, my mind always goes to my favorite OG boot company, SOREL. But did you know that they make wedges, sneakers and other shoes? Yes friend, they do, and today I’m styling a versatile pair of SOREL Chelsea wedges to prove it.
As always, you can shop the pieces in this post via the links or at the very bottom of this post.
The Shoes
I used to live in Utah when I was very young, so this brand is very nostalgic for me. I practically grew up in their boots! Every year I would get a new pair, so I was super excited when they asked me to style one of their best-selling styles.
Enter these Joan of Arctic Chelsea wedge booties.
Function meets fashion with these wedge booties. Waterproof leather means they’re perfect for running in and out between meetings, dinner dates, and errands during rainy weather without having to wear traditional wellies. I love a versatile shoe that you can do all of the things in and not have to worry about a crazy change in the weather, especially this time of year. (I’m wearing the color Quarry, which is a dark gray full grain leather, but you can get other colors and some in suede, too.)
SIZE NOTE: I normally wear a 6.5/7 and got a 7 in these. With thin socks they are a just a little loose, but anything smaller would be too tight; my verdict is that they run TTS. And bonus for half sizes if you need them!
These leather wedge booties are super comfy (the wedge incline isn’t too tilted or steep), and I love that I can wear them with anything from jeans to this sweater dress. They’re obviously great for cooler weather (duh, it’s SOREL!) but work wonderfully for a busy day in Los Angeles even with milder temperatures. And since I’m going to London for Christmas, these will definitely be at the top of my packing list.
The Outfit
This cozy sweater dress (I’m in a small) is from Madewell and works for warmer fall days (AKA most fall days in in LA), but it’s also cute for cozier weather. Obviously, I went for bare legs here, but for a lot of you reading this, it’s probably already cold where you are. No sweat, gal!
You can make a couple of easy swaps and still get more or less the same look. Just throw on a pair of wool tights with this sweater dress and upgrade your jacket from a leather one to a puffy parka (I like this one) and you’re good to go!
Another totally cute option for these Joan of Arctic Chelsea wedge booties? A pair of knee-high or mid-calf socks that you can scrunch down to wear with them.
I’m also linking a few of my other favorite SOREL shoes below. Because, you know, we can’t all live in a winter wonderland as a snow bunny. (Although to be honest, I kind of wouldn’t mind that.)
Have you tried these Joan of Arctic Chelsea wedge booties or other SOREL shoes? I’d love to hear what you think!
