Leopard Print Wool Coat Two Ways

In partnership with Bernardo Fashions

Happy almost Thanksgiving! I’m heading out to Park City for the long weekend for some (fingers crossed) snow, and it’s finally cooled off in Los Angeles. Yay! I’m really excited to share a special little “One Piece, Two Ways” blog post with this gorgeous leopard print wool coat from Bernardo. (I shared another coat by Bernardo a last week, so if you’re in need of a winter parka, click here.)

Let me just start by saying, you know how much I love myself some leopard. With black and brown tones, leopard print is not only a classic, but a total neutral in my book. You can dress this coat down or up, and in today’s post I’m going to show you just how I did it!

(P.S. I’m sharing a promo code at the bottom of this post for 40% off my coat and all other Bernardo coats!)

THE COAT

The photos of this leopard print wool coat don’t even do it justice; it’s SO pretty in real life with a soft texture that’ll keep you warm, not overheated.

It has just enough structure without being too boxy, which can sometimes tend to happen with other coats I try since I’m only 5’4”. These photos show the coat as is, no hemming or anything, and I think it’s the perfect length!

SIZE NOTE: I’m in my regular size here, a size small. Even with a bulky sweater under it, I felt comfortable and didn’t feel like anything was too tight, so I’d say this runs TTS. (If you’re looking on the website you’ll see two leopard print wool coats, I am wearing the “brown leopard” color.)

DAY TO NIGHT

Anyway, I first wore this coat in NYC on a Friday evening casually. Just some boots, jeans, and a sweater. This alone is a totally simple outfit but adding in a fun print with this coat totally upped the ante here. If it’s really cold where you are, add on a knit hat (maybe even a beret?!) and you’ll be so cozy chic.

Since I didn’t want to overload my suitcase, I really tried to limit what I took for outerwear (this coat and my packable Bernardo parka). It’s always important for me to make sure I own pieces that can get a lot of mileage and go with a lot in my closet. And that’s especially important to me when it comes to packing. Believe it or not, I actually prefer to travel as light as possible when I can!

Flash forward to dinner time when I wanted to be a little fancier (it was NYC, after all). I mean, how cute is this leopard print wool coat with a sleek black jumpsuit and some classic pumps? I felt very New York City in this, but this outfit for sure translates anywhere you are.

I also love this dressed up leopard print look for a holiday party. It’s stylish and timeless, and works for anything even if you’re not sure of the dress code. Add a pop of red on your lips and you’re good to go!

Right now, Bernardo Fashions is celebrating Black Friday NOW through 12/1 and you can save 40% with code THANKS40. This is HUGE, people, so get shopping and bundle up this winter in style!
