Dermstore is currently having a big anniversary sale where you can save up to 25% off on great brands like Sunday Riley, Oribe, and Klorane. Here are my favorite hair care and skin care products, on sale now with code CHEERS.
SHOP MY DERMSTORE SALE PICKS
I always use beauty sales to stock up on tried-and-true favorites, but they’re also a great time to try new products you may not normally try at full price. Every product in this list I personally own and use, and they’re all on sale.
MY FAVORITE SKIN CARE PRODUCTS
Lancer The Polish
If there’s one skin care product you’ve heard me talk about maybe too much, it’s Lancer The Polish. I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, this daily physical exfoliant has singlehandedly changed the texture of my skin. A little goes a long way (I use only a pea-sized amount) so you’ll have this for at least six months. It’s my favorite skin care products of all time and a must-buy at the Dermstore sale.
Dermalogica PreCleanse is an oil cleanser. Oil attracts oil, so it absorbs any makeup and impurities, leaving your skin ready for a deeper cleanse. Use it before your traditional cleanser for a deeper, more professional-level of clean. This is also known as double cleansing.
Bioderma Sensibo H2O Micellar Water
This Bioderma Sensibo H2O Micellar Water has been popular for a while now, but it’s a new to me product. On days where I wear lighter makeup, I’ll take a cotton pad and wipe it on my face to help remove makeup, but it also makes a great eye makeup remover.
Sunday Riley CEO Vitamin C Serum
As I’ve gotten older, I’ve noticed more irregularity in skin tone thanks to years in the sun as a teenager without sunscreen. Vitamin C has brightening, clarifying, and antioxidant properties, so it targets dark spots, dullness, and overall signs of anti-aging. It’s a powerhouse ingredient that also protects your skin against pollution. I use Sunday Riley CEO Vitamin C Serum during the day under my moisturizer.
Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Universal Daily Peel
I don’t use Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Universal Daily Peel pads daily, but given the name, you absolutely could. About two times a week (or if my skin ever looks a little bumpy) I’ll add these two step peel pads into my nightly routine. This is a mini at-home peel with no downtime.
COSRX Pimple Patch Set
I found these COSRX pimple patches at a Korean skin care store in NYC and I’ve been hooked ever since. Whenever you feel like you have a pimple coming your way, just apply one of these clear stickers over it before bed. There is some crazy magic in here; the pimple is flat by morning and the liquid inside somehow transfers onto the sticker. These are little lifesavers!
HAIR CARE FAVORITES
Christophe Robin Sea Salt Scalp Scrub
As a lover of dry shampoo, it’s really important that I take care of my scalp to prevent yucky build up and general environmental residue. Salt usually isn’t the greatest for your hair on a daily basis because it can dry out your scalp, so I only use Christophe Robin Sea Salt Scalp Scrub 1 – 2 times per month when it needs some deep cleaning.
UNITE Blonda Toning Purple Shampoo
I have been using UNITE Blonda Toning Purple Shampoo to reduce brassy tones on my bleached ends for probably 8 years now. As an added bonus to keeping my blonde locks bright, it also helps me go longer in between hair appointments. (And it smells delicious, too!)
UNITE 7 Seconds Detangling Spray
I don’t know why detangling sprays for adults aren’t more of a thing. UNITE 7 Seconds Detangling Spray lets you easily brush out wet hair, saving you time and pain after the shower. It also acts as a leave-in conditioner (for moisture) and provides heat protection against your hair tools.
Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray
If you’re going to use one product from Oribe, it should be this. Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray has a cult following. It adds just enough texture to your hair with ought weighing it down or making it look dull, and provides the perfect amount of subtle volume. This is a must-have for anyone looking for slightly undone, tousled wavy hair.
Oribe Apres Beach Wave Spray
Oribe Apres Beach Wave Spray was actually the first product I ever tried from the brand. Spray it inn your hair, give it a little scrunch, and either diffuse it or let your hair dry naturally. It gives naturally wavy hair the perfect amount of subtle texture, but the best part is there is ZERO crunch with this product.
Klorane Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk
If you haven’t tried dry shampoo, you need to. I am a dry shampoo fanatic, and Klorane Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk (another French pharmacy favorite) just bumped my previous favorite out of its top spot. Extend days between hair washes with this lightweight, or if you want a little boost in volume at the roots. It has a subtle, but delightful scent, even if you’re sensitive to fragrances.
T3 Micro Interchangeable Curling Wand Set
I’ve always been a fan of multi-use and multi-functional products, even when it comes to hair. This T3 Micro Interchangeable Curling Wand Set allows you to achieve three different styles with an innovative interchangeable base. They also sell additional sizes if you want to add to your collection. Plus, this is a major space-saver.
ghd Platinum+ Flat Iron
I can’t say enough good things about my ghd Platinum+ Flat Iron. Not only does this flat iron heat up in a jiffy (20 seconds), it utilizes smart technology to ensure your hair doesn’t burn or break. I use this iron to get my signature flat iron waves. I’ve had this iron for about 4 years now and she works just as perfectly as the day I removed her from the box.
