It’s been a minute since I shared my everyday makeup routine, so I wanted to update you all on what I wear on most days. I made a video for this post that you can watch where I show you all of the goods. But, if you’re more of a reader and want to know a little more about each item, I’ve also listed everything out below.
My everyday makeup routine takes only about 5 – 8 minutes; I like a no-fuss fresh face and that no-makeup makeup look. Easy peasy!
Here is everything I used in my everyday makeup routine video:
Eyebrows: Precisely My Brow by Benefit
This is new for me and I love it. I used to use Glossier’s Boy Brow and then a similar Sephora Collection product, and never thought I’d ever use a pencil again. Boy, was I sorely mistaken.
This dual-sided pencil has a very thin tip on one end and a spoolie brush on the other. I use the brush first to tidy up my brows, then take light, feather-like stokes to create “hairs” where my brows need filling. After, I take the brush again and go over the pencil; this softens the marks and makes them blend better into my real brows. No marker brows here! I love that the pencil trip is thin because it give me total control over where I put each stroke.
Lashes: Legendary Lashes Volume 2 by Charlotte Tilbury
I want to say I got this mascara about three months ago. I thought I had found the holy grail of mascaras, but then I found this. Ladies, let me tell you: I used my other brand mascara for years, so if this was good enough to get me to switch, then you know it’s a keeper. This mascara has everything I want: darkness, a little chunky texture, and it really opens up my eyes. Even my mom commented that my lashes looked good!
Concealer: NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer
I used to use this forever ago but have been bouncing back and forth between this and their Soft Matte Concealer. I feel like this definitely has fuller coverage, so it’s great for dark under eye circles. Since it has the brush, you could also potentially contour with a lighter and dark shade along the nose and cheekbones.
A little goes a long way, so be sure to only use about 3 dots per eye; otherwise I think it could look cake-y. I’m color Macadamia.
Foundation: NARS Sheer Glow Foundation
For the past couple of years I’ve used Maestro by Giorgio Armani, which is a tinted moisturizer-like product. I absolutely LOVE it.
The only problem is, my shade is always hard to find. For a while I was told they were discontinuing it, then it came back, then went away, etc. So even though I love it, it always seems to disappear when I need to replace it. To save myself this headache I proactively sought out a new foundation and landed on this Sheer Glow Foundation.
I will be honest here, it is a little heavier than Maestro, but the finish is GORGEOUS. It totally evens out my skin tone and after getting used to the weight a few days later, I can’t even tell I’m wearing foundation. (My color is Punjab.)
Blush: NARS in Fireclay
Not much to say here but that this palette is very pretty, and so is the color. By mixing a highlighter, blush, and toner into a single palette, you can kind of go heavy in one section and lighter in the other to give yourself your own custom flush. This is a great palette for an everyday makeup routine because of the natural effect of the colors. NARS makes some of my favorite blushes because they are all pretty pigmented; yet at the same time I never manage to overdo it. I don’t know how Mr. Nars works that kind of magic, but he does!
Setting Spray: Korres H2Rose Hydrating Face Mist
This has just the right amount of rose aroma. Usually my nose is pretty sensitive to floral, but I actually love the smell of this. You can use this spray prior to moisturizing to help that moisturizer sink into the skin and properly hydrate it. But, you can also use it as the last step in your makeup routine to lock in your look, or spray it to freshen up your face throughout the day. I think products you can use in more than one way are absolutely genius. It really makes you feel like you’re getting a better bang for your buck.
So there you have it! My easy, everyday makeup routine that usually takes me only about 5ish minutes. If I’m really short on time I’ll do brows, lashes, and foundation only, but all of these have been my go-to products for the past month or so.
