SKIN CARE
You know I’m all over any kind of skin care sale, and Sephora carries a ton of products I use on the regular.
Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Universal Peel Pads
I use these peel pads when my skin is bumpy to help fix its texture. These take about 3 minutes at night and I wake up with smoother skin. Since they come in individual packets, they’re great to take when traveling (ya know, once that can happen again.)
Drunk Elephant Sukari Babyfacial Mask*
This is a great exfoliating peel/mask to use once a week. It has AHAs and BHAs for chemical and physical exfoliating. (If you want to give yourself a professional at-home facial, check out this post with tips from my esthetician Allison.)
Drunk Elephant Protini Polypeptide Moisturizer*
I only have this moisturizer in a travel size, but I used it on the past few trips I took and loved it, so this is on my list to buy in the full size. It’s lightweight while still being hydrating, which is great for my combination skin.
Lancer Skincare The Polish
If you’ve been following me for a while then you know I’m obsessed with this exfoliant from Lancer. I started using this last January and ever since my skin in general has been much smoother than years past. A little bit goes a long way; I’ve had the same tube since last year so you definitely get your money’s worth here, especially since you can also save extra money while it’s on sale at Sephora.
Sunday Riley Good Genes Treatment
This is another holy grail product to me. I constantly struggle with perfectly smooth skin, so I rotate between this lactic acid treatment and retinol at night.
Sunday Riley CEO Vitamin C Serum
For my morning routine, I apply this Vitamin C serum to help with luminosity and to reduce dark spots from my teenage years spent swimming and playing water polo without sunscreen.
Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask*
I love products that you can use in multiple ways. This hydrating face mask can be used traditionally (aka applying it and rinsing it off), but you can also apply a thin layer before bed as an overnight hydrator, or under eyes during the day for extra hydration.
Supergoop! Unseen Sunscreen SPF40*
I had seen this facial sunscreen all over Instagram so I finally decided to try it. It’s worth the hype. There is no weird SPF smells, it’s completely clear, and not sticky whatsoever. I’d say the texture at first is almost like a lightweight Vaseline, but it rubs in quickly without any greasy feel. Just like the Summer Fridays mask, this sunscreen also has a second use: it doubles as a makeup primer.
Dermalogica Precleanse
Do you double cleanse? Oil attracts oil, so for a deeper clean I like to use this oil cleanser first before my *normal* face wash. It’s my favorite product by Dermalogica. Apply to dry skin, then emulsify to get rid of makeup, oils, and pollution. This way your cleanser can actually clean your skin, not the layer of buildup on top of it.
MAKEUP
Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask*
I have very, very dry lips and this lip mask is the only thing that will actually hydrate them. It smells so good; every time I put it on I want to eat it.
Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick in Pillow Talk
I featured this lipstick in this post about my favorite makeup products for 2019. This is such a gorgeous nude lipstick that’s great for a variety of complexions. It’s nude enough to be subtle, but there’s a touch of pink so that you don’t look dead while wearing it.
Charlotte Tilbury Legendary Lashes Mascara
I used to wear a much more expensive mascara until I found and fell in love with this one. I love my mascara dark, volumizing, and just a little clumpy without it looking cheap or trashy. This is everything I’ve ever wanted in a mascara.
Shiseido Synchro Skin Self-Refreshing Concealer
Last year I worked with Shiseido and got to try a bunch of their products. I’ve actually used their eye cream for years on and off, but this concealer launched last year. I love it. This product really does refresh itself throughout the day and I have no problems with it caking or creasing. I’m almost out of this, so this is on my list right now. I wear shade 203.
Charlotte Tilbury Eyes to Mesmerize Cream Shadow
These cream shadows are so pretty and you don’t need a lot to see the color on your lid. My favorite color is the Rose Gold because it’s a nice everyday shade you can wear regularly.
Benefit Cosmetics Precisely, My Brow Pencil
I have pretty dark brows so I don’t do much to them except a fill them in here and there. This brow pencil comes in a ton of shades, and I like that it’s thing enough so you can mimic tiny hairs for a natural appearance. There’s nothing worse to me than eyebrows that look markered onto your face. There’s also a spooky brush on the other side to brush brows into place and to blend in the color. I wear shade 4.
NARS Blush in Orgasm
This blush color is a cult classic. Much like the nude lipstick I mentioned above, this color provides a natural flush that works well on lots of skin tones. I have a couple of different blushes in various palettes, but this is the only one I use regularly. If you buy one thing from NARS during this Sephora sale, get this.
Charlotte Tilbury Magic Vanish Corrector
I discovered this after getting my makeup done during fashion week in September. I only wish I knew about corrector sooner! Major beauty blogger fail. I use this under concealer to help brighten up dark circles and it’s honestly a miracle worker.
HAIR & BODY
Herbivore Coconut Milk Bath Soak*
I’ve been spending some of my extra at-home time in the bath, with little things that make it feel more luxurious and spa-like than normal. I love this soak. It makes me feel fancy, but the coconut milk also helps to hydrate skin.
Voluspa Candles
Voluspa candles are part of the Sephora sale so stock up! Not only do they help make bath time feel fancy (see above), but you’re home a lot now so you deserve to be in an inspiring space. A simple lit candle can really transform your desk and home office space.
Drunk Elephant Kamili Cream Body Cleanser*
Drunk Elephant just released new products for hair and body (a full post with reviews coming soon) but threw this body cleanser onto the list because I really love it. It smells like almond, you don’t need a ton of product, and your skin feels clean but not stripped.
St. Tropez Self Tan Classic Bronzing Mousse
This self tanning mousse is a newer product for me, but it made the list because the handful of time I used it, I liked my results. Heads up so you don’t worry like I did: the formula is green, but it fades as your apply it. I use the mitt as well for better application and to save my hands from getting too tan.
Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Dry Shampoo
This dry shampoo has technology in it where it actually cleans your hair. Spray it in, wait about 30 seconds, then comb or wiggle into your hair. I experience less build up with they dry shampoo than others I’ve tried. (And I’ve tried a lot.)
Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer
This is an expensive purchase, but if you’ve been thinking about this hair dryer, get it while it’s on sale at Sephora. I have a lot of hair, so what used to take me 30 minutes to dry it completely now takes about 13 minutes. I know this because I timed myself once. If you have thin hair or don’t have tons of hair, it’s probably not worth the money. But if you’re like me, then it’s an absolute game changer to drying hair and worth the investment.
GHD Straightener
After years of using the same straightener, I finally upgraded to this one. It takes 20 seconds to warm up and chimes once it’s ready, so you never have to guess again.
T3 Micro Interchangeable Curling Wand Set
I have this set and I love that you change change out the wands for different curls to help conserve bathroom space.
CLEAN BEAUTY AT SEPHORA
Over time I’ve been trying to switch to cleaner products where I can. There are some products that work so well for me that I’m sticking with them regardless, but those for “in between” items I’m trying to explore a bit more.
Here are the clean beauty products I love that I already shared above, as well as some other things I have my eye on and want to try.
What are you buying at the Sephora sale, if anything? Do you stick to what you know or do you use the discount as an opportunity to try something new?
