How to Make a Raspberry Lemon Drop

I love making all of the things with fresh ingredients whenever I can, so when you make this drink, go for actual lemons instead of lemon juice.

If you love raspberries, you can always add a few extras when you muddle them; it’s really up to you and how flavorful you want your drink to be!

GARNISH YOUR DRINKS. It’s an easy trick to make any drink a lot fancier than it is. For this Raspberry Lemon Drop, you can jazz up the glasses spring of two of fresh thyme or basil, then drop in a small handful of raspberries as the finisher. The thyme, although very light in taste, also provides a nice subtle balance to the sweetness of the lemon, agave, and raspberries.

If you don’t have agave on hand or don’t like the taste, you can always use honey. It may make the drink a bit sweeter, but I can confirm it’s still equally delicious. 🙂

  • ½ cup warm water
  • 10-12 raspberries

  • 2 oz vodka
  • fresh thyme sprigs

Instructions

  • In a cocktail shaker, add the warm water and agave, then stir until the agave is dissolved.

  • Pour in vodka, then add thyme sprigs if desired.
  • Add ice, cover, and shake vigorisly to combine.
  • Pour into ice-filled glass, garnish, and enjoy!

This Raspberry Lemon Drop is perfect for brunches and outdoor dinners, but because it’s red it also makes a delightful “on theme” adult refreshment for Memorial Day or Fourth of July. Of course, you can make any cocktail into a mocktail by omitting the alcohol. Cheers!
