I am so happy to be putting away my boots and looking forward to light layers and bare ankles now that spring is here.
Over the past few years I’ve focused on building out more of a curated closet filled with fewer, yet higher-quality items that I can wear for several years. Since I’m a big believer in foundational wardrobe basics, my seasonal wish lists usually include an assortment of investment pieces, items that need replacing/upgrading, and a couple of trendier things that I can throw into the mix with my everyday staples.
Here’s what’s on my wish list this spring.

At the start of every season I do the same thing before I shop. I do a big closet cleanout, then donate whatever doesn’t fit or that I find myself no longer wearing. Then I take a look at what I own, re-assess anything that needs replacing, and look for gaps in my wardrobe to decide where I want to prioritize investment pieces.
Once I’ve done all of this, I make a running wish list on my phone. This helps to reduce impulse purchases and gives me focus so that I can stay on track with saving and budgeting for the bigger ticket items that I want.
Items on my wish list can be specific pieces, but often they’re more generic if I’m on the hunt for something like the perfect oversized tee or light wash jeans.
I typically have a few special items on my list, so if I don’t buy or can’t find something this season and it’s a year-round item, it usually ends up onto my wish list for the next one.
My Spring Wish List
1. Light Tan Blazer
One of my splurge items on my list this season is a spring blazer. I wear blazers often, but I realized that other than a lightweight navy blazer, I actually don’t have a lighter neutral one for spring. I’ve seen this blazer IRL and it’s gorgeous.
2. Brown Ballet Flats
I’m looking for the perfect brown flat now that the weather is warmer because I want to wear something other than my typical sneakers or loafers. Right now I have my eyes set on this cognac pair, and this pair in a slightly deeper brown.
3. Elevated, Yet Simple Tops
This spring I’m looking to pick up a few tops that aren’t basic tees or button-down shirts. This short sleeve sweater feels is just as easy to wear as plain t-shirt, but looks more elevated.
4. Staud Ysabel Midi Dress
I saw this navy-blue midi dress and instantly put this on my list. It’s simple and easy to wear, and goes with sandals, sneakers, and flats.
5. A New Crossbody Bag
My go-to purse for international has finally kicked the bucket, so I’m looking for a new crossbody in a versatile brown. Ideally it will have a flap or zipper, and although it can’t big too big, it still needs to be still large enough to fit my camera, phone, and sunglasses.

6. Pistola Eli Arched Jeans in Ecru
I have the blue wash of these jeans and I absolutely love them. I saw that they’re also available in ecru, which will be so cute not just for spring, but also summer. If you’re worried about looking like a clown in barrel jeans, don’t be. I’m 5’4″ and these hit perfectly at my ankles with a very subtle arc silhouette. They run TTS.
7. Cuyana Sunglasses Pouch
I frequently browse the Cuyana website (I love their leather pouches for travel) and stumbled upon this little luxury I didn’t know I needed.
8. Aligne Sleeveless Tailored Vest
This sleeveless tailored vest is gorgeous. I love the longer length of this and plan to wear it with tailored trousers, midi skirts, and jeans. I also love that it’s a soft yellow; it’s a nice departure from my usual assortment of neutrals, yet the muted tone still manages to make it feel like one.
9. Alex Mill Nico Cardigan
Cardigans make great layers in lieu of jackets, and this white chunky sweater looks so comfy and cozy.
10. Black Cardigan
After going through my closet, I need to update my current black cardigan with a new one. I have my eye on this simple cotton one from Everlane.
11. Light Wash Wide Leg Jeans
When I was in Paris last summer, I managed to spill something on my jeans and whatever it was left a stain on them. I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect pair of light wash wide leg jeans ever since, since sadly the pair I had are no longer available.
12. The Perfect Pink Nude Lipstick
For the longest time I was a huge fan of Charlotte Tilbury’s nude shade, Pillow Talk. I’m not sure if the color of my lips has changed over time, but it no longer suits me. Westman Atelier has a few beautiful pinky nudes that I plan on trying this spring.
