Hair Products for Medium Length Hair
I just recently cut my hair, but I really love medium length hair. I just have a lot of it, and it grows fast, so even though I love that length I always have to go for a big chop at least once a year.
Although I regularly use the following hair products for all of my lengths, I find myself using them more when my hair is medium length, right below my shoulders.
Longer hair can weigh things down a bit. Therefore, I rely on a scalp scrub, dry shampoo, and texturizing spray more with medium length hair than I do with a shorter style.
Cleansing Products
Christophe Robin Purifying Sea Salt Scrub
Medium length hair can be hard to shampoo and rinse perfectly every time you shower. I’ve noticed when my hair gets longer, it doesn’t always feel its cleanest clean during shampoos, and that’s in part to hair weighing it down.
When my hair is medium length, I like to use this Christophe Robin Purifying Sea Salt Scrub once a week as a detox treatment to revitalize my hair. (With shorter hair, I use it every other week or as needed.) It really cleans the scalp, removing extra oil, dry shampoo, and styling products that a regular shampoo sesh just can’t do.
Unite Blonda Purple Toning Shampoo
I’ve had ombre-colored hair for as long as I can remember. If you don’t have bleached hair you can skip right on over this product!
But if you do have bleached or lightened hair, it’s important to maintain it outside of the salon. Enter Unite Blonda Purple Toning Shampoo, which reduces brassy and orange tones and keeps blonde strands blonde between hair appointments.
On medium length hair, it can be more obvious when your locks get brassy, so I recommend this. I use it about two times a week and have used this exact purple shampoo for years.
Davines Oi Conditioner
Davines Oi Conditioner is another product I use regardless of how long or short my hair is. When my hair is medium length, I tend to blow dry and style it more, so I like to leave this conditioner in for a bit, almost like a hair mask, for some extra hydration at my ends.

Styling Products

As my hair gets longer, it also gets oily quicker than when it’s short. I use dry shampoo a lot more when I have medium length hair.
