M.M.LaFleur O’Hara Blazer Review + Favorites from the Brand

If I had to pick an item in my closet other than my jeans that gets the most wear, it’s a blazer. Except for summer, I reach for blazers often. They work for business meetings just as well as they do for dinner and even as an easy weekend layer. I have probably too many blazers than I should, and one of my most loved is the O’Hara Blazer from M.M.LaFleur.

I have three different colors in this blazer, so in this post I’m sharing what I love about the M.M.LaFleur O’Hara Blazer, along with a few of my other favorites from the brand. A special thanks to M.M.LaFLeur for partnering on this post. All thoughts are my own.

MM LaFleur O’Hara Blazer Review

Fit and Sizing

Of all the blazers in M.M.LaFleur’s collection, the O’Hara blazer is the most fashion-forward style they offer.

Unlike more traditional suiting blazers, this one is a straighter cut with a longer hem. It’s a boyfriend blazer, but by no means is it oversized, extremely boxy, or sloppy looking. Despite the boyfriend fit, it’s still generally slim and straight from the shoulder to the hem.

As I mentioned above, I have three different colors in this blazer because I love the fit so much. It’s the perfect combination of a polished blazer with a modern fit.

This blazer is friendly to those with a larger bust, hips, or self-conscious of their middle area.

I’m 5’4” and I wear a US 4 or 6. I wear a size 6 in this blazer. The O’Hara Blazer runs TTS, and a size 4 fits me, however, I prefer the size 6. I almost always size up on outerwear from any brand since I have bigger shoulders and arms. I like a little wiggle room in that area.

M.M.LaFleur always provides excellent sizing recommendations on their site, especially if it may vary based on fabric. You can also shop with a stylist virtually to help ensuring you get the right fit.

Colors, Prints, and Fabrics

The O’Hara Blazer is one of M.M.LaFleur’s best-selling styles, so it’s available year-round in different colors, prints, and fabrics based on the season.

During warmer months you can find lightweight options, and in fall and winter they make heavier options to keep you warm. When you click through the different colors and patterns, be sure to look at the “Material & Care” tab on the product page to learn about the specific fabric and wash instructions.

Wool and wool blend blazers require dry cleaning. You can iron with low heat if needed, but I like to use a clothing steamer instead to get out wrinkles, if any. (Many of M.M.LaFleur’s fabrics are fairly wrinkle resistant, so they’re great pieces for travel!)

Pricing

M.M.LaFleur is a brand that prides itself on high-quality, functional pieces that you’ll have for years.

The price of the O’Hara Blazer ranges between $365-$495. Although a splurge, I can attest (three times over!) that the versatility, fit, and fabric are worth the price. If you’re looking to invest in timeless, capsule pieces to build the foundation of your wardrobe, a quality blazer that fits well is always a smart purchase.

My Other Favorite Pieces from M.M.LaFleur

I only own multiples of the same item if it’s something I really love. So no only is it a big deal for me that I have three O’Hara blazers, it’s an even bigger one that I own multiples of several other M.M.LaFleur items.

These are my other favorites:

Chloe Vegan Leather Dress

The Chloe vegan leather mini dress is a closet staple and available in brown and black. It works for both the office as an edgy yet still appropriate dress, and dinner or drinks on the weekend.

I love wearing it on its own with a blazer as well as with a turtleneck under it. During colder months, I like to pair this dress with sheer tights, some lug-sole boots, and a long coat

Since it’s faux leather, I sized up in the dress to a size 6 so that I have a little room in it.

Leslie T-Shirt

I love M.M.LaFleur’s Leslie t-shirt. Trust me when I say not all t-shirts are created equal. Made from Pima cotton – the highest quality of cotton – this tee is softer and thicker than your average shirt. It also has a ribbed detail on the collar, which gives it a nice, elevated touch.

The Leslie t-shirt is fairly wrinkle-resistant, so it’s a great travel option to pack in your suitcase.

Milo Jeans

True to the brand’s DNA of elevated casual, the Milo jeans are the perfect blend of dressed up, but also easy.

Made from M.M.LaFleur’s proprietary “Better Than Denim,” this denim-like cotton fabric provides a crisp, polished look without forgoing comfort.

Several of their pieces are crafted from this fabric, but I am partial to the Milo jeans for the high-rise, wide-leg fit.

If you’re between sizes, size down as they do stretch a bit. I’m a size 4.

PRO TIP: These pants have an interior snap button detail with an adjustable hem – perfect if you’re on the shorter side like me! I’m 5’4” and use this snap feature whenever I wear flat sandals or sneakers.

If it’s your first time shopping M.M.LaFleur, I’d love to know if you try any of these pieces! This is a brand that has such timeless, quality styles, and I’m so happy to share it with you!
