Leopard Print Jeans in NYC

Sometimes you just have to walk on the wild side and go for it with leopard print. At least that’s what I told myself with this leopard print jeans outfit I shot in New York City.

I swear I say this every time, but I’m always more adventurous with my NYC outfits. I’m not sure if it’s due to the nature of the city, or simply because I’m out of my daily routine. Either way, it always brings out a little more street style, and I’m here for it.

These leopard print jeans are fun to wear; I couldn’t help feeling a little sassier than normal in them. These aren’t as high as some of my other jeans, but still comfortable and I didn’t feel like I had to pull at them to keep them up. I took my normal size.

The best part aside from being totally cool, on-trend, and comfy, is that these leopard print jeans are just under $100 so won’t set you back a ton. For denim from a good brand, this is a steal. And that’s coming from someone who used to work in the premium denim industry!

Blank NYC is actually one of my favorite brands for affordable, quality denim when you want something nice but don’t want to shell out $200. (Madewell is another favorite with just about the same price points.)

It’s no secret that I’m a sucker for a graphic tee, so went with this one from Anine Bing. Full disclosure here, I realized AFTER I shot this look that the shirt is actually a nod to Run DMC. Oops! I thought it looked familiar. 🙃

I linked a couple of places to get it below as Anine Bing pieces tend to sell out quickly (already sold out on her site!). I’m wearing a size small because I wanted to keep an oversized feel. If you don’t want it as oversized, then get a size smaller than what you’d normally wear.

I have been resisting the white bootie trend forever until now. Spring in NYC is tricky for this California girl. I really wanted to wear a lighter color palette given the season, but it was still chilly there. These white booties were the perfect solution. They kept my feet warm, and since they aren’t suede, I didn’t have to worry about getting them ruined in a random spring shower. (A problem I actually run into a lot in the winter with my black booties.)

I opted for a lower heel to make walking around the city more feasible. A kitten felt more sophisticated and dressed up than flats while maintaining practicality.

I linked my exact pair above, but act fast because they are almost sold out! Just in case, I shared a similar version in the carousel that you can also find here.

With unpredictable weather in the city, I brought along my black denim jacket just in case. This similar version I found is only $32 and has an easy tomboy fit.

Now I just need to remember to keep up my sassy side here in LA.
