Eyelet Blouse and Kick Flare Jeans

This outfit is perfect for those days when you want to be casual and comfortable, yet refined. I swapped out my typical skinny jeans with these cute kick flares and then upgraded my typical t-shirt to this darling eyelet blouse.

For those of you who are new to Charmed by Camille, let me tell you that I am Madewell-obsessed. I just love their easy pieces that can mix and match with so much. Both the jeans and the top are from here. BTW this is not sponsored – I wish they would sponsor a post – I just simply love the brand.

Anyway, Madewell makes some really great jeans if you want a quality pair of denim but don’t want to shell out hundreds of dollars. This kick flare style is a nice alternative to skinny jeans, and they hit just at the ankle. It’s always nice for a silhouette change up and I like that there’s some breathing room around the ankles. With a high rise, a great blue wash and a frayed hem, they are kind of perfect!

A couple of quick fit notes on these, though: go up a size. The website says to get your normal size, but when I tried on my normal size they were just uncomfortably tight. I felt like if I ate anything, it would hurt. Also, I am 5’4” and found that the regular length works just fine for me. That’s what I’m wearing here. I ordered the petite length just out of curiosity. Since models are always so tall, things tend to be longer on me. The petite length was too short and awkward looking, so I ended up going back to the store to swap them out for the regular length.

Now let’s talk about this eyelet blouse. I love longer sleeve length here, and the little bow in the back adds the cutest touch. The eyelet is perfect for right now when it’s still warm. If you need an extra layer you can easily put a cami under it. It’s also available in black, which is equally as cute! (Apparently I unknowingly have a thing for eyelet this fall because my post last week also featured an eyelet top.)

Schutz Pointed Toe Mules | Charmed by Camille

I paired with brown accessories for a softer look. These Schutz slides have been on my wish list forever and I finally decided to buy them! My black Gucci slides are seriously one of my most worn shoes, but I have found myself wanting another color when black is a little too severe for a look. These won. I love the pointed toe and the woven appearance, plus they are under $200 so not too spendy.
