Just like that, we’re in fall! I love my cozy plaid shirt for #fallvibes as much as the next girl, but today’s post is all about plaid dresses. Today I’m rounding up 12 different plaid dresses – a handful of them under $100 – so you can change things up a bit with your 2020 wardrobe.
What I’m Wearing: Plaid Dress | Black Belt (similar here) | Mock Neck Bodysuit | Sunglasses | Combat Boots | Black Satchel
Now while a plaid shirt is an easy, no-fail thing to grab in the fall, but for those days when you want to wear plaid and be just a bit more stylish, try a dress. Part farm girl, part punky, you can wear plaid dresses with booties, sneakers, and even combat boots (exhibit A, this look here). For longer dresses, I love a slouchy tall boot with a slight heel.

This plaid Ganni dress is a DREAM. If I were attending NYFW this year, I would totally have worn this outfit. This is a very “Camille in NYC” outfit if you ask me. I love the deep V neckline, I love the colors, and I love the statement sleeves. I added a belt to define my waist since the sleeves are big, but you could forgo it if you really wanted.
SIZE NOTE: I’m wearing a size 38.
One easy styling trick for any dress is to add a base layer. I’m wearing a mock neck bodysuit under this dress, which is a great alternative to a jacket, but still provides added warmth. You can wear any slim-fitting top, but this comfortably clings to you so there’s no bulk. (I also wrote this post sharing three easy swaps to take your dresses from summer to fall.)
I’m excited for things to finally cool down so I can wear more of these kinds of looks. I’ve definitely been in a fashion slump all summer, and while cold weather usually means I’m in sweats, I’m ready to up the ante and get out of my rut!
