What to Buy at the Sephora Appreciation Event

Sephora is currently having its Beauty Insider Appreciation event, where you can save up to 20% on everything! I asked last week on Insta Stories who wanted to see a post featuring my favorite Sephora products, and an overwhelming 100% of voters said yes. So without further ado, here are my favorites from Sephora that you can save on during the event.

If you see something you like, click on it and it’ll take you directly to the product!

Obviously there are a ton of products at Sephora, and instead of listing everything I have ever tried, I really tried to narrow things down to my favorites. Everything you see here I personally own and use, whether they are new discoveries or old-school favorites.

1 – 4: Makeup

Tom Ford beauty products are easily the best things to buy during this event. His products are pure luxury, with beautiful packaging and great formulas. Yes, these are still a splurge, but Tom Ford beauty products never goes on sale and so when they do it’s my personal opinion to #treatyoself to something a little decadent. This eye quad in “Nude Dip” has the prettiest neutral metallic shades that look good on any skin tone. I love buying palettes because you get a variety of shades in a single item, and they are typically pre-packaged to complement each other.

Another palette I’m totally loving is the 7 Deadly Sins lip palette by NARS. This is limited edition and brand new – part of the Fall 2018 collection. (I filmed a video with all of the swatches here if you want to see.) If you don’t want or need a ton of colors, then stick with my all-time favorite red, also by NARS, Jungle Red. This has been my go-to red whenever I wear a bold lip for years, and was actually the first non-nude color I purchased. I am OBSESSED with it.

Earlier this summer I worked with Bobbi Brown to support the launch of this new mattifying primer. Because I have normal to oily skin, I was really intrigued by this product. I’m usually not a big fan of wearing primer, but a small amount of this gave my skin a soft focus and I have been noticeable less shiny whenever I wear it. It’s newer find that’s definitely found it’s way into my daily makeup routine.

5: Fragrance

See above – the time to buy Tom Ford is NOW. Neroli Portofino is one of his classic scents and one of my personal favorites. With orange flower blossom, herbs, and amber, it’s literally the perfect balance between citrus and musk.

6 – 8: Hair Care

I am always experimenting with my hair but Drybar Detox dry shampoo and Living Proof Full Dry Volume Blast spray are literally my holy grails of hair care. I’ve tried sooooo many dry shampoos, and this is by far my favorite; it absorbs oil, adds texture, and smells amazing. Often times it is the only product I put in my hair. When I want a ton of texture, I add the Living Proof spray. This spray is amazing, and you can instantly see a difference in the volume of your hair. I showed off a before and after using the spray here. I’m telling you, this spray is MAGIC.

With so much hair, even when it’s short, I need a dryer that has enough power to dry my hair quickly without frying it. I absolutely love this Dyson dryer, and it dries in record speeds. If you have a lot of or thick hair, you’ll absolutely notice a difference in drying times and it’ll change your life. It’s a splurge, but worth it since it saves me upwards of 15 minutes in the morning.

9 – 13: Skin Care

As a self-professed skin care junkie, this section was really hard for me to narrow down. I’ve been using Lancer’s The Polish (an exfoliator) since about March and ever since I started using it, I’ve been getting more compliments regarding my skin. This was featured as one of Sephora’s Weekly Wow products and sold out, so don’t miss out this time to save on it.

If you’re looking to hydrate your summer skin, use a mask. This cult favorite by Summer Fridays is a traditional mask and smells amazing, but if you’re looking for a quick, cheap fix, Sephora Collection actually has a ton of really great sheet masks at an affordable price.

Finally, let’s talk treatments. Good Genes by Sunday Riley is for sure on my must-have skin care list. It’s an all-in-one formula with Lactic Acid to help with fine lines, skin tone, and dark spots. I like to put it on at night and then when I wake up my skin looks brighter. I’ve also started adding in these peel pads by Dr. Dennis Gross into my routine. These are little pads to give you an at home peel, and I like to use 1 – 2 times a week. Similarly to Good Genes, these pads help with the appearance of your skin, most noticeably making it smoother overall.

So there you have it, my favorite picks in skin, hair, and color cosmetics for the Sephora Beauty Insider Appreciation event. Happy shopping!
