It’s no secret that I love trying new skin care products. When I find an something I really like, I always like to share it with you. A little over a month ago I purchased Beautycounter Overnight Resurfacing Peel and today I’m sharing a video review on my thoughts after using it consistently for two weeks.

What is Beautycounter Overnight Resurfacing Peel?

I know that the word peel can be scary to a lot of people. Don’t worry, this isn’t some crazy formula where your skin falls off. It’s really just called a peel since it’s a resurfacing treatment that works to exfoliate the top layer of your skin.

Beautycounter Overnight Resurfacing Peel is a leave-on nighttime treatment that utilizes AHAs and BHAs to slough away dead skin cells for brighter, smoother skin. There are a ton of overnight resurfacing treatments out there, but this formula also has fatty acids in it to help keep skin moisturized.

According to the Beautycounter website:

  • 100% agreed skin felt and looked smoother
  • 90% experienced radiant and glowing skin
  • 97% reported that skin felt resurfaced
  • 87% said pores looked minimized

And I’m here to say I totally agree on all of the above.

Overall Thoughts

After 14 days of testing Beautycounter Overnight Resurfacing Peel, I loved it so much it’s now a part of my nighttime routine AND I decided to become Beautycounter consultant. Yes, I liked it that much, which rarely happens. The last time I loved a product that much was when I discovered Lancer The Polish.

My skin absolutely looks and feels softer. In terms of pores looking minimized, I have noticed this the most on my nose.

As you can see in the video, I was suffering a terrible breakout on my chin while trying this peel. I used it all over my face including my breakout area. It tingled a bit on my chin, but mild tingling is normal depending on your skin sensitivity with any resurfacing product. My breakouts typically tend to leave mild discoloration. However, while using this product I noted a reduction in the breakouts (they were always less mild the next day) and the area that has cleared up since then has minimal to zero discoloration.

I am not a dermatologist, so this was my personal experience with this product in regard to breakouts. If you have questions, always consult a professional.

The one thing I immediately noticed though, before experiencing any kind of result, was how hydrated my skin felt the next morning after using this product. This was the game changer for me, because AHAs and BHAs can be drying to the skin. My face’s hydration level was the one thing I noticed immediately, after one use of this peel. It must be those fatty acids working with my moisturizer to keep my skin hydrated.
