If I had to play favorites with fall fashion pieces, I’d pick blazers. I live for cooler weather where you can throw on a third piece to layer and not start sweating immediately. Blazers can easily elevate your look beyond just the office. Here are three easy ways to style a blazer for fall.
4 Ways to Style a Blazer for Fall
Everyday with Jeans
Probably the most natural and therefore common way I style a blazer for fall is with jeans. Even though I worked in the corporate denim industry in a past life, my love for denim still continues.
This is my go-to look for business meetings or when I simply just want to elevate an otherwise pretty plain outfit.
You could definitely wear a blouse here, but I think styling a graphic tee or plain t-shirt makes an everyday blazer outfit effortlessly cool. I love how Jessica of An Indigo Day incorporated sneakers to her look for a comfy day out. (She has a TON of great blazer inspo on her blog, so be sure to check her out!)
Also, can we talk about how GREEAT the belted blazer situation looks on Carolina of Chic Talk?! I love love love this and will definitely be incorporating this fun flair into my own looks.

SHOP PLAID BLAZERS
I love to style a fall blazer with leather or faux leather. There is honestly just something so chic about this combo that truthfully, I can’t explain.
Both of these gals styled leather pants with plaid blazers but their final looks are totally different.
Alina of The Closet Crush opted for a head to toe monochromatic look by wearing different shades of brown found in her blazer. Kathleen of Carrie Bradshaw Lied grabbed a plain tee (see style idea above), wider pants, and sky high heels for a fashion-it girl vibe.

SHOP LEATHER PANTS
With Shorts or a Skirt
Don’t think that you have to limit your blazer to just pants. Yes, you can still style a blazer in the fall with shorts or a skirt.
Both of these outfits are perfect for a warmer fall day, but if it’s cold or you’re going out at night, some sheer tights for some added warmth!
The trick when you style a blazer with shorts or a skirt is to make sure you nail the proportions like Ariana and Caroline did with their looks. An oversized blazer works best here, because you want the bottom of it fall almost in line with the hem of whatever you’re wearing on the bottom.
Which outfit is your favorite? Honestly, all of these girls styled their fall blazers so cute, I can’t pick!
