Amazon Finds: What I Bought in May

I know I’m not the only one who has been ordering on Amazon more than usual lately. With most businesses still closed in LA, I’ve turned to Amazon for random things to keep me busy during this time. Today I’m sharing everything I purchased from Amazon this past month. Read on for my May Amazon finds.

Zoku Pop Molds

When I was younger, we had popsicle molds that we’d fill with orange juice for an easy frozen treat. One day outside I had the biggest craving for my childhood orange juice pops, so I bought these Zoku pop molds.

They’re easy to fill and take out once ready, and fairly compact to conserve freezer space.

Silicone Food-Safe Baking Mats

Since we’ve been staying home and therefore cooking more, I bought these silicone mats. You just put them on your regular pan, then rinse off to clean. Not only do they make baking and roasting much cleaner, they help prolong the life of your baking sheets.

These keep going in and out of stock, so keep an eye on them.

Oxo Cutting Boards

I decided to refresh our old cutting boards from Target, so I updated my kitchen with some from OXO. I bought the Utility Cutting Board for most items, and the Prep Cutting Board as a smaller option.

These cutting boards are nice. They have rubber grippers to prevent sliding, but also have a an integrated “drip catcher” so that liquids won’t spill onto your counters.

Cleanser Lids

Okay, these lids may be my most random of my Amazon finds this month. If you have a powder cleanser (like Bar Keepers Friend, Bon Ami, or Comet) and you’re always annoyed about the excess powder on the top/afraid one day it’ll spill out – get these lids

Like, how did I not think of inventing something this simple? Also why don’t those cleansers come with a lid?

Glass Spice Jars

If you follow me on Instagram, then you’ve seen my obsession with these glass spice jars. Organizing my spice cabinet was always one of those “nice to have, but not essential” projects. Anyway, I got really bored one day, hoped onto Amazon to buy these, and a few days later had a nicely organized cabinet with labels that I custom made (which, by the way, you can now buy on Etsy).

I think this is probably my favorite of my Amazon finds this month because every time I open that cabinet I smile.

Glass Food Storage Set

Clearly there are a lot of Amazon finds this month for the kitchen. I try to finish one room before going on to another.

I’ve been trying to get away from all-plastic containers and so I finally swapped out my existing Rubbermaid set for these glass food storage containers. The lids are still plastic, but the storage portion is glass.

I’m not used to having glass food storage, so they took me a little while to get used to.

Ice Roller

Although I have a love my jade roller, I recently purchased this ice roller because my friend Megan uses hers constantly. It definitely covers more area than my jade roller and seems to get colder than when I put my jade roller in the freezer.

Use this to help depuff skin, alleviate pain, and reduce migraine tension.

Softbox Lighting Set

Did you know I have a YouTube channel? For the past five years I haven’t really done much on it, but a couple of weeks ago I thought I’d give it another try, because I really do like making videos. (Click here to subscribe to my channel!)

I’ve only used this lighting set to record one video so far, but the color balance is way better than before, resulting in a slightly more professional look.

Ankle Weights

Since we are still under a “Safer at Home” order for the foreseeable future, I’ve had to get creative with my at-home workouts.

I picked up these ankle weights to add a little more to my walks and HIIT workouts. The last HIIT workout I did with my watch, I burned about 50 more calories than when I wasn’t wearing them. I have the 3lb set.
