I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: I love a jumpsuit. Jumpsuits are the lazy girl’s trick to looking stylish in a flash, with zero brain power involved. The latest addition to my jumpsuit collection is this brown Free People utility jumpsuit, and today I’m sharing 3 simple ways to style it.

Jumpsuits are always my go-to for instant style, and you can usually wear them throughout multiple seasons, so they’re a versatile closet staple. This utility jumpsuit has a rugged and edgy feel, but you can style it dressed it up or down by swapping out a few accessories. That’s actually one of my favorite things about styling a jumpsuit; you can keep accessories to a minimum but completely change the look of the outfit.
SIZE NOTE: I am a size 4 and wearing a small, but probably could have also fit in the XS. Free People tends to usually run a little big.
3 Simple Ways to Style A Utility Jumpsuit
Edgy and Moto-Inspired
I like to embrace the industrial feel of a utility jumpsuit by styling it with complementing pieces. To me, that means a leather jacket and chunky boots. These leather accessories always work well when you’re transitioning from season to season like winter to spring or fall to winter.

Dressed Up for Dinner
Style your utility jumpsuit effortlessly for dinner by swapping out the lug sole boots for strappy sandal heels. Adding a belt like I did here gives definition to your waist, and makes the jumpsuit feel a little more polished for an evening out. Shop my black strappy sandals here. They also come in a higher version.
Style Your Utility Jumpsuit Casual for the Weekend
This is probably the easiest way to style a utility jumpsuit. Casual weekends call for comfy shoes, so add a pair of comfy, sporty sandals and you’re good to go. I like the mix of utility and sporty here; it’s a unexpected yet playful contrast.

Additionally, I like to cuff the legs of my jumpsuits and roll up the sleeves on most of my jumpsuits. It’s a small but super easy style hack that adds a little polish on anything, from jumpsuits to oversized plain tees.
