Sweater weather. Maybe(ish) in sight for Southern California residents. Definitely already in sight for the rest of the country. In years past I’ve always stuck with the basics: plain, oversized cable knit sweaters that go well with both leggings and jeans.
This year though, thanks to a couple of upcoming cold weather trips, I’m opting for some more playful pieces. Naturally, I have been inclined to stockpile all things animal into my cart.
So, I figured I’d share some super cute fall animal print sweaters in this short and sweet post.
This uber fuzzy zebra sweater is by ba&sh (I gushed all about them in this post if you missed it) and I love that it’s slightly cropped. This was a splurge, but I really loved the knotted detail on the back. It makes it a little bit different than your regular old sweater.
I don’t like any sweater too tight, hence why I’ve always gone for oversized styles in the past. I grabbed a size 2 (or a medium) in this sweater. Just a heads up, this sweater does shed. So, it might be worth going over it a few times with a lint roller or some clear packing tape before you wear it/hang it in your closet.
I kept things simple because as much as I love a coordinated look, real life for me is all about jeans and an easy top. I shared these jeans on Instagram Stories right when I got them and holy smokes, I love them. They’re by Citizens of Humanity and may be the most comfortable pair of jeans I’ve ever owned. That’s saying a lot seeing as I worked for three different denim brands.
These have a high rise and skinny leg fit. But my favorite thing about these is that the light blue shade is perfect to contrast with black. I’m super picky about light jeans in the fall/winter; trust me these are the ones you want. (They run TTS; I’m 5’4″ and wearing a 26 and did not have to hem them.)
Here are the other animal print sweaters I’m currently crushing on. Is there such a thing as too many of these? Asking for a friend…
