Brand Spotlight: ba&sh

I love finding brands to share with you and this French one has been catching my eye for about a year: ba&sh. In today’s post I’ll be sharing all of the details of this gorgeous sheer dress and picking some of my favorite fall pieces from the ba&sh website.

The name of the brand comes from the first two letters of the BFF co-founders, Barbara and Sharon. Based in Paris, ba&sh has a distinct style if you ask me. Effortless basics melt together with skirts and dresses for a vibe that’s a little bohemian, a little rock n’ roll. And if you’ve been following me for a while, then you know this style mixture is right up my alley.

Pair one of their skirts with some black boots and a graphic tee for a bit of an edge. Or, belt a dress and throw on a leather jacket to make things a little less dainty.

As for pricing, ba&sh pieces don’t fall in the bargain category, so find something you truly love and wear the daylights out of it. (The good news about this brand is that the silhouettes are flattering for most body types, and they are classic cuts that will outlast trendy pieces. AKA, you won’t get sick of whatever you might get by next fall.)

Outfit Details

I feel like these photos speak for themselves, but this dress is BEAUTIFUL. The outer fabric is sheer, but there’s a connected slip inside of it with adjustable straps. This way, you don’t have to worry about anything moving around or showing. Wrap dresses rarely fit me right in the chest, so I opt for faux wrap styles whenever I can. There’s a small invisible button right at the top so you can control the coverage on your chest, which I love. (I’m wearing it buttoned in these photos and will probably always wear it that way.)

With sheer long sleeves and a slit up the front, this dress is equal parts elegant and dramatic. In keeping with the brand’s half boho half rocker vibe, I added some killer croc-embossed booties (wore these all over NYC for Fashion Week!) and a black hat. I love this for dinner, but I think it could also be nice for a fall wedding if you swapped out the ankle boots for heels.

I’m a fan of sheer sleeves for fall weddings because they’re breathable for dancing but keep your arms covered in case the event is outside or it’s cold. (I featured another sheer-sleeved dress in this post about fall weddings.)

SIZE NOTE: ba&sh is a French brand so I recommend double checking their website size guide. (The brand’s website allows you to toggle between French and US sizing for easier shopping, which I really love!) French brands run a bit narrow on my body, so I’m wearing FR size 2/US size Medium. I love that it’s not super tight and gives me room to move without drowning my body.

Shop this outfit in the carousel below, as well as some of my other favorite fall pieces from ba&sh. I hope you love this brand as much as I do!
