Okay, so for the longest time, I thought that I looked terrible in yellow. Maybe I still do but I just care less about it. I always wanted to be that girl wearing mustard yellow with some wide leg trousers. And this summer, after seeing muted hue everywhere, I decided that I am going to be that girl. Only I’m going to wear the color now, in the form of adorable sundresses.
Do you remember when I wore this yellow Free People dress? It was the first time ever that I really embraced yellow, and it’s one of my favorite dresses.
This little yellow sundress from Madewell also comes in white, which I was really leaning towards originally. I will always buy a neutral shade since it matches with more. But, in the spirit of trying to wear more color and be that mellow yellow girl, I sprung for this one. I’m wearing a small here so it definitely runs true to size. Plus, it’s on sale and less than $100! It’s cotton and so lightweight, so it’s a perfect dress for a hot summer day.

I like wearing the little tie straps on my shoulders, but I suppose you could untie them and hide them inside for a true off the shoulder dress.
Also, can we talk about this beautiful embroidery along the hem? I am OBSESSED with it. Such pretty details, but since it’s tonal it’s subtle until you get up close. Aren’t these details to die for?!
The dress pretty much speaks for itself and doesn’t need much else, so I paired it with these Soludos espadrilles and brought a denim shirt to transition the look from day to night.
I’m also wearing my favorite bag for summer! This wooden ark bag by Cult Gaia is everywhere and I decided to jump on the bandwagon this summer and get one. I LOVE it! I’m wearing the small, and it’s the perfect size and fits everything. I can fit my keys, phone, sunglasses, and wallet, and there’s still more space. It goes with literally everything.
What do you think? Can I pull off this shade?
