Happy June! I’m still here in NYC but I have been planning this week on Charmed by Camille for about a month now. I’m so excited it’s here!
Introducing WEDDING WEEK!
An entire week dedicated to you, THE WEDDING GUEST. Today through Friday I’ll share a new blog post every single day featuring outfit inspo, my favorite finds, etc.
Don’t go to another wedding uninspired. I’ve got you, girl!

I figured it would be fun to start this series with a dress you could get a ton of mileage from. Sure, you can definitely wear this floral dress to a daytime wedding, but don’t forget all of the other events that surround the big day. It’s perfect for engagement parties, bridal showers, rehearsal dinners, and beyond. Sizes are limited and seem to be going fast so I suggest you hop on this beauty ASAP.
Here’s the lowdown on today’s post:
I’m doubling up today’s first Wedding Week post with my monthly “One Piece Two Ways” series, and changing things up JUST a bit for this month and putting both looks into this single post. First, I’ll show you how to wear this dress to whatever wedding-related function you might have coming up, then keep scrolling to see how I change the styling to a more casual look.
Let’s get into the details, shall we?

The Dress
First, let’s just cut to the chase: this dress clocks in under $100. Weddings can get expensive, especially if they’re out of town or you’re in the bridal party. And much as I love an excuse to splurge on a dress for a wedding, I also love saving money and not having to pay for something crazy wild if I don’t have to. I’m wearing a size small.
(Side note – this brand, AFRM, is new to me and has a ton of chic, affordable options! Linking a few other similar styles by them that caught my eye below.)
Like I mentioned above, this dress is great for an outdoor, daytime wedding. But it works perfectly for any other wedding event. It’s light, airy floral print adds a sense of fancy without overpowering the girl of the moment, the bride. And the longer hemline is modest without being frumpy, thanks to a subtle slit up the leg. It also has a really cute smocked detail on the back, and an open keyhole that’s a nice little surprise when you turn around.
This dress is lightweight, so you don’t have to worry about sweating through the sleeves during whatever bridal shower quiz you’ll be participating in. (It’s lightweight, but not see through – major win.)

Outfit #1: Engagement Parties, Bridal Showers, Rehearsal Dinners, and Post-Wedding Brunch
You may remember this dress from May’s Fashion Finds Under $100 post. And in full disclosure I totally ripped this dress off from my friend, Lindsay. She posted herself in this dress at a baby shower, and I thought, “That’s the perfect dress for any ‘occasion’ where you’re not entirely sure what to wear.”
Fast forward a couple of weeks and I decided to scoop this dress up for myself, and now here we are. To keep things dressy but still seasonally appropriate, I wore these suede mules. The block heel is perfect if you’re going to be on your feet for a long time, and the nude is a great color for a variety of skin tones. I always have a hard time finding a not-too-light or pink nude, so trust me when I say this is a great shade. Plus they are under $100!
To finish the dressier iteration of this dress, I opted for this slouchy faux leather white clutch. I’m bummed to say this exact one is sold out, but try this one. Just like my bag, this white clutch also has a gold chain if you need both hand for those hors d’oeuvres and champagne. 😉
When it comes to bridal events as a guest, my advice is to keep it simple, and go with what works. A floral dress is always in style.

Outfit #2: Easy Weekend Style
Now that you’ve wow-ed the crowd at your event, get more mileage from this floral dress with easy swaps for the weekend. Change those mules out for strappy flat sandals like the ones I’m wearing here, by Kaanas. (Click for a non-suede version.) A strappy sandal stays on your feet a lot better than slide sandals. I love these for ANY casual summer occasion.
Instead of the white clutch, I opted for my trusty Chloe cross body bag, then added a denim jacket for a light layer. Top off with sunglasses to finish and voilà! You’re ready for a farmer’s market jaunt, a day of shopping, or a lunch with your bestie.
