Here we are, day 2 of Wedding Week! If you missed yesterday’s kick of post, let me remind you what this week is all about. This is not a week for the bride, but for wedding guests! Every day this week I’ll be sharing a new blog post. Every day, it’ll be a new topic.
Yesterday, I shared this affordable floral dress that’s perfect for any pre or post-wedding event (bridal showers, post-wedding brunch, etc.) and styled it two ways so that you can wear it after the festivities.
In the spirit of affordability (weddings, even attending, can get pricey) – today’s features a roundup of my favorite wedding guest dresses under $200. From on-trend colors to catchy prints and different silhouettes, you won’t find any plain, boring dresses here!

Here are my two rules when it comes to dressing for summer weddings:
- It’s okay to go short since it’s hot out, but balance the lack of length on the skirt with sleeves or thicker straps
- Conversely, if you’re going to go with skimpy straps, make sure your dress goes below your knee; the attention should be on the bride, not you!
Summer weddings can be a bit all over the place in terms of dress code, but chances are if it’s during the day you can lean a little more on the casual side with a short dress. When in doubt, always better to be a little overdressed for a wedding than totally under. So a safe bet for these things, especially when they run alter afternoon through evening, is a longer style.
Look for prints, flowy fabric (stay away from jersey), and ruffles to elevate an otherwise plain dress and to keep you looking wedding appropriate in the summer heat.

I am obsessed with this pink and orange floral dress. And yes, it is under $200! The colors are bright and totally unexpected. With a handkerchief hem and a ruffle down the front, it’s girly but fun! I took my normal size 4, but it’s also available in petite sizes so no hemming needed for tiny frames! It also has a lining inside the flow fabric, and feels more expensive than it is. This is a total win in my book and perfect for a fancy vacation look as well.
To keep the focus on the print of this dress, I opted for a pair of nude heels. Mine are an old purchase, but here’s a similar, low heel sandal (under $100, too!). Finally, to play up the pink of the dress, I decided to go for this pink Ted Baker clutch. It’s practically the exact same pink as the dress! It’s just over $100 and has a chain strap if you prefer a shoulder bag. Then, I added a pop of more orange with this bright, tangerine lip color. The exact shade is called Riviera and it’s by Hourglass.
Summer weddings are the perfect time to play around with fun bright prints that you can’t really get away with for more formal occasions of winter weddings. Here are 26 wedding guest dresses under $200 to get you started…
