Topshop has totally elevated the game in terms of fabulous shoe-ing at reasonable prices. Case and point: these crazy cool Topshop mules with bow detailing. Oh, and in case you can’t see straight, that great heel.

Let me first start off by saying that I am terrible at walking in heels. And when I say terrible, I mean it. Even a low heel sometimes doesn’t fare too well for me. Earlier this year, I made a vow to myself that I would stop buying ridiculously expensive heels because I was buying what I “might wear one day” versus what I wear IRL. You know those jeans that you always keep hoping that you’ll fit into them again, but you never will? This is how I am with heels. Beautiful, unworn heels sitting in boxes because I like how they look on my feet in my closet, but can’t hack on the streets. Needless to say, I can breathe a little sigh of relief now that block heels are officially a thing for fall.

So, when I saw these Topshop mules at Nordstrom, I put them on my wish list and painfully tried to forget about them until I accidentally on purpose hit “buy”. It was the best decision I made the fourth week in August. They also come in white!
These mules are not only comfortable, but they are beautiful. Like I mentioned at the top of this post, Topshop has really upped the ante in affordable shoes that look expensive. I still can’t decide whether I love the bow or the heel more. And because these shoes are so fun, I paired them with these also fun fringe jeans by 3×1.
Off the shoulder is still huge and may or may not be going anywhere, so I traded in my summery white tops for this seasonally appropriate black version. I didn’t want to take away from the amazing-ness happening on my bottom half, so instead of anything too overbearing up top, I let my shoulders do the talking with a bandana and kept my bag super minimal.
