Another day, another way to wear this slip skirt! Did you catch yesterday’s post on how I styled this navy slip skirt to wear now? If you missed it, click here.
Today’s post though is all about how to wear this skirt once it gets chillier and you need to be cozier. I’ll keep this short and sweet, so let’s go!
While this outfit is a little fancier than yesterday, I promise it’s just as easy to throw on to get out the door and on with your day or night.
Ditch yesterday’s t-shirt for a cozy sweater in a warm-toned fall hue. This toffee Line & Dot sweater is slightly cropped with a chunky knit. I went a size up for it to be oversized a little, so if you want the same look as in these photos, I recommend you do the same. (Bonus, it’s only $69!)
Normally I wouldn’t have actually put these two colors together. But in full disclosure, I was running out of luggage space for NYC. I really ended up loving these two together though. Don’t you love when an unexpected color pairing happens? I feel like my closet just grew tenfold.
If you wanted to keep this a daytime look, keep the white Veja sneakers from yesterday, or you can add a pair of black ankle booties to make things a bit dressier. Once upon a time it used to be a faux pas to mix brown and black – or even black and navy for that matter. Yet here I am with all three colors. What can I say, I like to live on the edge.
Wear this slip skirt now, then add on a cozy sweater and wear it later. Easy peasy, right? Shop the look below.
