The Perfect Pastel Blue Dress For A Spring Wedding (And Beyond)

Happy first of April, friend! I’m hoping there aren’t too many April showers in your future this month, especially because this light blue dress is perfect for an outdoor spring wedding, girl’s brunch, bridal shower, etc.

I know it’s April Fool’s Day, but I’m not lying when I say that this $119 dress feels much more expensive and looks like it’s designer. I freaking LOVE when I find pieces like this, because frankly, they’re kind of hard to come by. There are a handful of pretty little details that don’t overpower the dress; they’re just well thought out and placed. The puffy sleeves, silk-like fabric, and handkerchief hem all come together to work their magic here.

I’m picky when it comes to floral patterns, so I appreciate that this “Dandelion” print is a more abstract than it is literal. I’m obviously way shorter than the model, so I had to put on my big girl sandals in order to make sure the dress didn’t drag without hemming. These black suede sandals are by Alexandre Birman; they were totally worth the splurge and the tie detail makes them different from other ankle strap heels. (Linking a few more affordable suede options below, too!)

Like I mentioned above, I think this is the perfect spring wedding dress. It’s made from a cotton and lyocell blend, so it’s drapey and flowy in all of the right places. Which, I think adds a dressy touch along with the sleeves. Spring weddings can be tricky sometimes; either they’re outside and casual thanks to warmer weather, or they’re inside and still pretty fancy. And with this dress and the right accessories, you’re safe either way. (Total side note here but how long is my hair getting?!)

I decided to keep this more on the “outdoor spring wedding” side of things so I paired it with a striped clutch. The stripes are on the bolder side but they add a refreshing and playful contrast to the delicate flowy dress. This exact clutch unfortunately sold out – but here’s a similar one for you and only $10. And girl – if you don’t have a wedding or bridal shower to attend, don’t fret. Go ahead and invite your besties to a fancy brunch or tea and wear this gem!
