Hello there! Yesterday I shared how to style a leopard print jacket with a white dress as part one of my monthly “One Piece Two Ways” series. So that can only mean one thing for today… part two!
In today’s post I’m switching things up with my leopard print jacket and styling it for a night out on the town or a date night.
Instead of playing with feminine and edgy like I did yesterday, I just went straight for the latter with a black leather mini skirt. It’s summer, so wearing something short with a layer is key for me here in LA. Hot during the day, but chilly at night. Not to mention, every single place always cranks the AC way too high here.
My exact leather skirt is old and sold out, but I found an almost identical one here. At under $200 for real leather, it’s a great price. If you want a faux option, then I really like this one by Blank NYC.
Date nights in LA are pretty casual, so I opted for a neutral, gray V-neck t-shirt to let the leopard jacket be the star here. Madewell makes my favorite t-shirts and they always sell a ton of colors. I feel like sometimes side seams get twisted on t-shirts, but not with these!
In the spirit of this outfit being a little more dressed up than yesterday’s look, I swapped out my casual booties for a pair of heeled sandals. I bought these a few seasons ago from & Other Stories; they make great, genuine leather shoes at affordable prices. These sandals are long gone now, but I’m linking a couple of other chunky heel versions below.
I mentioned this in yesterday’s post, but I’ll say it again: leopard is a neutral and a print that goes with everything. Which look is your favorite: today’s date night look or yesterday’s white dress western outfit?
