Southern California has experienced some Indian summers these past couple of years. To be more accurate, it’s been in the 80s even on Thanksgiving. It sounds great, but something doesn’t feel right carving a turkey when it’s that hot outside.
This time of year always makes me so antsy. Fall clothes are popping up in every store. Yes, I do want those velvet pants! I do want that cute blazer! Ugh, just the thought of wearing them makes me want to combust.
For now though, I’m still living in breezy summer dresses that I can throw on for a trip to the farmer’s market or over a swimsuit. This tiered dress that I’m wearing is almost sold out, so if it’s available in your size then don’t wait to get it! I’m wearing my normal size (size 4) and it fits perfectly. I’m typically in sandals all summer, but I love pairing dresses with sneakers like these off-white Converse sneakers. It’s a little unexpected but also it adds a bit of tomboy flair to the girly piece.
Can we also talk about this fun little straw circle bag? I’m super late to jump on the bandwagon for this, but better late than never. All summer I’ve been eyeing it AND just found an almost identical cheaper version here. I wish I knew about this version before I bought mine, but c’est la vie.
I have a trip to New York for work next week, then I’m flying back there a couple of weeks later for NYFW. Do any of you have some fun end-of-summer plans?
