The other weekend I took a spontaneous trip across the country to NYC was was loving it. I’ve been a ton of times to the city but I always love finding new things and discovering new parts of town. This time around, we ventured into Brooklyn more than we ever have before. The verdict remains that I still love NYC, even in Brooklyn. 🙂
How cute are these easy to walk in heels? They are by Marc Fisher and SO comfy, especially to walk around in the city. You can get them here, and they also come in black and nude.
Back in the Manhattan, tulips were in full bloom, and these Bryant Park pictures capture spring in the city just perfectly. I feel like the only things missing here were a cup of tea and a good book. I love all of the different seasons in NYC but there’s definitely something magical about seeing everything start to bloom amongst the backdrop of concrete buildings.
It wasn’t too warm though and the only jacket I brought was this denim jacket from Madewell. The key to wearing denim on denim, in my opinion, is to make sure each blue is deliberately different. If the blue hues are too close in color, it looks like a bad matching mistake rather than a purposeful color combination.
I brought out the blue of the jacket with this cobalt cross body bag that Fossil sent me. I’m such a sucker for no-hands bag that can fit all of the essentials, and this color is super fun and different from my traditional black ones.
Per usual, I’m crushing on all things striped this spring. I’ve definitely added a handful of striped tees to my closet, and they’re giving my otherwise minimal and plain wardrobe some life. They’re fun to wear with jeans, like I am here, but add a super cute flair when paired with a pleated skirt and heels! The one I’m wearing here is sold out (sad face) – but the ones below are equally as cute!
