If I had to pick a favorite print, it would be stars. Star print clothing and shoes make me so happy. If you recall earlier this year, I had an obsession with these star print booties from Valentino that I picked up on a trip to NYC. As you can imagine, I was super happy to see that star print clothing didn’t disappear for summer.
Stars often get attention around July 4th, and that’s obviously a no-brainer. However, I’m here to make the case that when worn right, you can actually wear star prints beyond America’s holiday.
I can’t tell you how beyond obsessed I am with this denim jacket. It’s so fun to wear with shorts or a dress right now, and come fall it’ll look great with a t-shirt and black jeans. Heck, I may even go overkill and wear my star booties. You can shop my exact star jacket here:
Instead of traditional red, white, and blue, I opted for a black dress here. You’ll notice that I still kept a little bit of red with my sandals, but the looks is much less American flag and a little more “effortless Americana.” By switching out white with black, it enables me to wear this ensemble all summer long.
I’m finally back in LA after a series of trips lasting much of June. It was fun but I’m done living out of a suitcase for a little while. This long weekend will be great to catch up on some long overdue posts. How are you celebrating July 4th?
