“I will never be the woman with the perfect hair, who can wear white and not spill on it.” – Carrie Bradshaw
This is how I feel in regards to perfectly dressed women in high heels. I have just grown to accept that I can never walk multiple blocks in 4 inch heels and body-skimming clothing.
Hence, which is why I am stoked that pajama dressing is officially a “thing” and socially acceptable in today’s world of fashion.
I remember back in college, if you were pajama dressing you were either wearing a Juicy track suit or in some kind of dumpy leggings and Uggs. Comfortable, yes. Work appropriate, no.
Pajama dressing has very much evolved, and even though #TrackIsBack, the truth is you can wear that silk PJ shirt to the office. What’s important here when you do wear said shirt, you have everything else in check.
This means you must balance the flowy, unstructured slinky fabric of the shirt with substantial and well-fitting jeans or pants. When it comes to shoes, I like the idea chic loafers or mules a la this example outfit right here. The shape of them mirrors slippers, and well, you get the point.

Speaking of mules, I just bought the Gucci Princetown Loafers and I am beyond obsessed. I’m really proud of this purchase (not just because they are Gucci) but because I spent my first blogger paycheck on them, so they are extra special to me.
These are definitely an investment, but you can achieve the same look with a lot of other similar, much lower priced styles. I’ve found some of my favorites that you can shop in this carousel right here below.
I’m obsessed with this print and style! I may just go for the full matching set and YOLO it. But, I totally feel you on the bodycon, it ain’t gonna happen over here (unless in Vegas). This is another great source of outfit inspo!! Congrats on the shoes, you’ve earned them:)
Haha thanks Crystal! You’d look SO cute in the set!
