Hello there! Did you see how I styled this yellow midi skirt yesterday? If you missed it, click here to see the post. Today I’m styling that same skirt but changing things up from casual, cool girl to Camille goes on vacation. (Even though I am 100% still in NYC and not on vacation.)
That’s why this skirt is so great, friend! It’s Versatile. With a capital V. See what I did there? It’s also under $100, so you’ll still have money to buy the rest of this outfit. Let’s get into the details on today’s yellow midi skirt styling.
White Blouse – Amanda Uprichard (shop more Amanda Uprichard here) | Yellow Midi Skirt – ASTR The Label | Straw bag – Cult Gaia | Slides – similar here | Sunglasses – Le Specs | Necklace – Cloverpost | Bracelets – Natalie B Jewelry
I swapped out yesterday’s rocker tee to this white sleeveless blouse. These sleeves are fluttery but the crisp fabric allows it to hold its shape. It gives the top a romantic but strong presence amidst the flowy-ness of the skirt, too. I’ve worked with Amanda Uprichard in the past and I just love her pieces because they allow me to be girly while still being totally me. Simple, clean lines are always a yes in my book! I’m wearing a size small.
This outfit is perfect for a warm night or during a vacation somewhere tropical. Honestly, even while I was wearing this, I felt completely transported. In my head I was totally in Mexico about to eat some fancy tacos. (There also just happened to be a taco shop next to us, so maybe that helped set the mood.) 🌮
Isn’t it wild how just swapping out a couple of pieces gives something a totally different vibe? Part of what makes blogging to fun is finding versatility in pieces. Who would have thought a yellow midi skirt could do so much!
In keeping with my “slightly dressy, but also on vacation” feel, I ended up wearing my straw Cult Gaia ark bag. No, I’m still not over this bag and you shouldn’t be either. It’s literally the perfect bag for spring/summer and can be dressed up or down.
SHOP THE LOOK
I’m just wearing brown slides here, but you can make this look fancier with a pair of ankle strap nude heels. (Tons of inspo in this post if you need it!) My slides are old and sold out, but here’s a cute version with a similar criss-cross detail. (And only $60!)
To top it off, I added some fun gold plated jewelry here to play off the yellow of the skirt. I’ve been completely obsessed with the coin necklace trend and wear this one almost every day. You may remember these gold bracelets from last month’s fashion finds under $100 post – stack ‘em like I did here, or wear them one at a time. The world is your oyster!
Which yellow midi skirt outfit is your favorite? Yesterday’s graphic tee and sneakers look, or today’s semi-fancy island girl one?
