When the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale started a couple of weeks ago, I promised I wouldn’t inundate you with a ton of posts about it unless I found something I really loved. While a lot of the hype is always around the clothing and shoes (see which shoes I picked up for fall here), Nordstrom has a lot of great beauty exclusives featuring a ton of products by brands that I use on the regular. From special sizes to limited-edition sets, I’m sharing my favorite Nordstrom sale beauty picks for this month’s edition of beauty obsessions.
I’m going to break this post down into four Nordstrom sale beauty picks categories: hair, skin, makeup, and other, so that it’s easier to read.
I have mentioned multiple times that I rarely wash my hair daily. My hair doesn’t get too oily between washes, but ever since cutting it shorter I’ve found that I have better texture (and more compliments) on my “non-washed” days. I have spent years, and I mean years, trying to find a great dry shampoo and this Detox dry shampoo spray by Drybar is my absolute favorite. It smells amazing and leaves your hair refreshed without that baby powder fragrance or a ton of build up. Drybar is offering a four-piece set ($52 for a $75 value) featuring a full size and travel size of the Detox dry shampoo along with their 3 in 1 Triple Sec texture spray, also in both sizes.
Oribe is one of my favorite luxury hair brands, but they can be expensive. So I only really splurge on the stuff once in awhile. Case and point: there were some full-size beauty exclusives by them as part of this sale that I wanted to purchase, but I didn’t buy fast enough and they sold out! If you’re looking for a mini #treatyoself moment, try this mini kit with the essentials. I typically use Oribe’s Apres Beach spray but got the travel size of this texture spray and I love it. Just a couple of mists after you style your hair for instant texture. The Gold Lust shampoo and conditioner are amazing, and this is a great way to try the brand before committing to its higher priced items. I love traveling with fancy beauty products because they make your hotel feel less like a hotel, and it’s a nice way to indulge on vacation.
Kate Somerville is a fantastic skin care brand and I love amplifying my exfoliation with ExfoliKate. If you’re a fan of this product already then you’re in luck because for this sale they created a limited-edition jumbo size, so it’s the perfect time to stock up. I’ve tried the Wrinkle Warrior serum before in a sample, so decided to pick up this kit to get the full size and also try out the Cold Cream. It’s a cleanser/makeup remover that moisturizes while removing makeup. I use another cleanser by the brand so was interested in trying this one. Plus in this set you get two mini samples from other products in the Wrinkle Warrior line.
Elemis is a UK based brand and a couple of months ago I was introduced to them via a partnership and fell in love with this moisturizer. I make sure that when I partner with brands I try and truly like the product first before I make any kind of recommendation for it. This Pro-Collagen Marine Cream passed the test! Using algae as a main ingredient, this moisturizer helps to improve firmness and suppleness of the skin. For a limited time you can get a two pack at a special savings.
I always pack a mini Evian spray in my carry-on to help with dehydration during my flight. I also spritz it on as a little wake-up right before leave the airport if I have somewhere I have to be after landing. This product is old school simple without any frills; Evian water features good-for-you minerals to help with hydration. Get a full size and two travel sizes for $18 during the sale.
I have this mini Foreo cleansing device that I use whenever my skin feels super dirty or in need to a little something extra. Its sonic pulsing helps to remove dirt and oil better than cleansing alone, and each brush lasts up to 100 uses. During the sale you can get a special set featuring the regular size and travel-friendly mini version.
This wouldn’t be a Nordstrom sale beauty picks post without some makeup! Artis was one of the first beauty brands I had ever reached out to, because I was in love with the look of the makeup brushes. Three years later I still use the Oval 7 brush when applying liquid foundation. These ergonomic brushes have microscopic fibers to help hold the makeup at the top of the brush to effectively use less makeup over time. For a limited time, get the Oval 7 and Oval 6 with brush cleaner.
If you’re searching for a great nude lipstick, you can’t go wrong with Charlotte Tilbury. This set features two Nordstrom-exclusive colors with a lip liner in their best-selling shade, Pillow Talk.
At one point in time I owned a Becca highlighter, but then I dropped it and everything cracked. So, I was really happy to see this Prep, Set, Glow set. To be honest, I was totally fine buying the full size of the highlighter, but I was curious about the primer and setting powder so decided to get this. At $35 it makes a great gift, or in my case, a great way to try other products from the brand.
Le Labo fragrances are amazing, and a little goes a long way. My favorite scent from them is Santal 33, but I never want to travel with the bottle because I don’t want to break it. This set features two travel sprays including Santal 33. If you’re the kind of person that can’t travel without a perfume, then consider splurging on this.
Okay so Diptyque candles technically are not beauty products, but they are so gorg and smell amazing that I associate them with getting ready and prettiness. For some reason my brain can’t usually fathom paying $60 for a single candle, but purchasing a set with a few minis is easier to swallow. Try this set that comes with three candles and three fragrances. (I also love this set of mini candles but it’s currently sold out, so keep checking back if you really want it.)
