Introducing my new spring uniform until further notice: these white overalls with an easy striped shirt.
If you’ve been following me for a little while now, then you may remember these overalls I purchased earlier this year. They were my gateway overalls; black, went with everything, and a skinny fit.
But once I saw these white overalls with a slightly looser, silhouette at Madewell, I marched right over to my nearest store and snatched these up fast.

The Look
Made from 100% cotton, these straight leg overalls aren’t as skinny as my black pair, and have a laid-back vibe without being too baggy or dumpy looking. I love this silhouette because it’s a little more comfortable for spring and a perfect closet upgrade from regular jeans.
Size note: I’m wearing a size a small, which translates to my normal size, a size 4. At first I was worried they’d be too tight; just make sure you undo the buttons on both sides and you’ll be fine.
To keep with the easy vibe of these white overalls, I grabbed this drapey striped button up shirt. I wish you could come through my computer screen and feel this top. It’s made from Rayon so it’s really fluid, moves with the body, and overall just so comfortable and soft. It’s slightly oversized so if you want a closer fit then size down. I personally am a fan of the oversized look, so I went with my normal size here.
I decided to try this button up shirt tucked into the white overalls instead of a regular t-shirt because it felt a little more dressed up, even though the look remains casual.

The Finishing Touches
My lace-up sandals are old, but I found an extremely similar pair and the best part is they’re only $60. They come in black, too!
At this point I probably should get a new brown purse, but I still love this straw Culta Gaia ark bag. It goes with everything, particularly in spring and summer, and fits what I need. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it – right?
To me this outfit is perfect for a weekend at the farmer’s market, a beach-side breakfast, or even out on a boat! Just be sure to bring a lightweight cardigan in case it’s chilly.
