As you start cleaning out your closet to make way for new spring apparel, consider trying new silhouettes. In the past I’ve mostly been a shorts or mini dress kind of girl in warm water, but I have a new found love for the midi skirt. For some reason midi skirts remind me of two things: retro vibes like Betty Draper in Mad Men, or a European vacation in the summer. Both totally different, but I’m not mad at either. Today I’m sharing this cute striped $70 midi skirt look and rounding up a bunch of my favorite midi skirts for spring.
The skirt’s cute asymmetric hem gives it a point of difference, and the ruffle-like side adds some volume to its A-line shape. I paired it with a simple white fitted t-shirt to show off the high waist. The simplicity of the top also lets the skirt be the focal point of the look.
Midi skirts are so fun to dress up or down, but I love the casual vibe when paired with espadrilles like this nude pair by Soludos. I love these shoes for spring; they go with everything! From this look to jean shorts, they’re perfect for brunch or a low-key weekend. I have a couple of other styles and colors by this brand but I wear these by far the most since it’s neutral colored leather. I’m a 6.5/7 and I took a 7 on these (Plus, they are less than $100!)

I featured this faux croc circle bag a few posts back with a fancier outfit for a spring wedding. As you can see here, it’s a totally versatile bag for really any occasion! It’s sadly sold out in the white (I looked everywhere!) but available in a ton of other fun spring colors, as well as non-textured versions.
I don’t know about you but it’s always hard for me to pinpoint my style because I feel like I have two very distinctive ones. When it’s cold out, I’m all about black jeans, ankle booties, and a leather jacket. To me, it’s much more of a downtown vibe and a little edgier/cool girl. However, once that sun hits in LA I go full Southern California girl with some color and tend to be a little more boho. If you go onto my Instagram you can probably poinpoint the exact day it started to get warm. It’s fun to change things up, plus who doesn’t like pretending like they are on a perpetual vacation?
