I love a good graphic t-shirt. I don’t know if that’s a California thing or that they are reminiscent of 1970s rockers tees. Either way, I just feel cooler in a graphic t-shirt.
Although there’s a graphic on them (duh) you may be surprised to find that you can pretty much swap them seamlessly into any t-shirt containing outfit.
To me, graphic t-shirts always look super cool with a pair of shorts and an embellished belt, or with jeans and a leather jacket. I wanted to try something a little different and toughen up a more traditional “girly” outfit, so here’s what I did. I also rounded up a handful of my current favorite graphic t-shirts, which you can shop all the way at the bottom.
I thought I’d have a little fun with this outfit but starting with this black midi skirt. It’s from the Who What Wear Collection and you can find it at Target for less than $30! P.S. If you haven’t check out their collection, you need to. Everything is SUPER cute, on-trend, and all under $50. (This is not sponsored; I just love everything in the line!)
I resisted the urge to wear sneakers or slides and added these suede tie sandals instead of my usual suspects. They help elongate my legs since the skirt itself hits mid-calf.
Adding the graphic t-shirt and embellished belt gave this otherwise pretty simple outfit an unexpected fun twist and jazzed it up a bit. I love this belt because it mixes silver and gold, so you’re not limited to what color jewelry you wear. I personally am a huge fan of mixing metals but if you’re not, this belt helps with the matching dilemma.
Graphic tees are such a fun way to lighten up the mood of any outfits and they also make great conversation starters. I have so many in my drawer and I’m always drawn to them to elevate otherwise boring outfits.
