Eva NYC Hair Mask Review

Since bleaching my hair really blonde at the ends, it’s been super important that I’m doing what I can to take care of it. I put my hair through a lot, particularly on weeks when I’m shooting content because I’m styling it all the time. That means a blow dryer, a curling iron and sometimes even a straightener touch it in one sitting. Eek!

Although I try to air dry my hair when I can, sometimes I still need a little repair help. The team over at Eva NYC Hair sent me their Therapy Session Hair Mask to try, so I wanted to share my first impressions and thoughts with all of you.

Upon opening the product, I immediately loved the smell. It’s fragrant enough to make you feel like you’re at a salon without being too much.

I used this as a mask and left it on the ends of my hair for a few minutes for an intensive treatment. However, the instructions say that you can also use it as your daily conditioner. I always love products that have multiple uses, but I haven’t tried this out as a conditioner yet.

So far I’ve used this mask 3 times, and I’m liking the results. Even after the first use, my hair felt softer than normal at the ends. After the third use, it was super soft, and also a lot easier to brush at the bottom. I’m curious to see if it’ll be obvious in photos or not, but in real life it’s looking good!

It made my hair smell nice, so it’s good note that the fragrance didn’t go away upon application. Overall, my hair is feeling more delicate and softer at the bottom then it was prior to using the mask.

My only complaint is about the packaging rather than the actual contents. Since the jar is fairly big, it was a little awkward to hold without getting any water inside of it. If somehow you can manage not to drop the lid on your shower floor like I did, then you’re fine. I may even try having it open prior to getting in the shower and leave it outside of the door, but we’ll see.

The Therapy Session Hair Mask is $15, which to me is pretty good compared to some of the other hair masks on the market, and you get a ton of product. Saving money while saving your hair at the same time? Done and done.

You can find Eva NYC Hair Care at Ulta Beauty, Target, and in-stores at select Old Navy locations.
