I’m usually not a cardigan gal because they’ve always felt too preppy for my personal style. But this season’s cardigan trend features looser silhouettes that feel a little more effortless than cardigans of years past. I particularly love all of the neutral tones for cardigans; they’re perfect as cozy winter whites, and not too dark as we transition into spring. Below you’ll find my favorite neutral cardigans you can wear now and later – all under $100.

When it comes to cardigan, this year it’s all about the v-neck line. I love it. Try wearing one of these neutral cardigans buttoned up with a turtleneck under; it’s super chic for winter.
If you’re looking for a modern take, try your v-neck cardigan on it’s own. I like keeping it simple and showing off the neckline with a few dainty gold necklaces. (Shop my coin necklace here and a similar flat gold chain here.) It’s a basic, comfortable outfit, but it’s also right on trend.
A spring nears and it warms up, I’ll unbutton my cardigan and wear it open as a jacket. Neutrals are always a go-to for me, especially with a layering piece like a cardigan because these shades go with everything.
