Sometimes you just have to go back to basics. Today I’m sharing this simple but cozy pink sweater outfit to get you through the end of winter and transition into spring.
Most days lately, you can find me in something like this. I love a sweater, a comfortable pair of jeans, and some easy sneakers. There’s not much to the outfit, but these basics paired with a couple of killer accessories can elevate the entire look.
To help transition into spring, I opted for a pastel pink sweater. It screams spring but still keeps me warm during this up and down weather. I have always been a big fan of Vince and splurge on the brand’s pieces every now and then; this was totally worth it. It’s one of the softest sweaters I own and so freaking cozy. (I also linked a couple of other more affordable but similar options below. Find more Vince sweaters here.)
The coziness of this sweater lends itself to some easy bottoms, so I went with my usual suspect: denim. I’ve had these jeans for a couple of years now, and they are always in my top rotation. They have the perfect mom fit if you’re looking for that style, and the 100% denim makes them feel a little vintage. I wear mine cuffed when wearing flats or my favorite white canvas sneakers.
Now comes the fun part – accessories! This fun, multicolor square purse provides the perfect balance between dressed up and casual. The architectural design adds structure and polish to an otherwise easy look, and the chain dresses it up. (I’m also wearing this bag in this post.) As you can see, the blue of my jeans and pink sweater bring up those shades on the bag; it’s like a little purse chameleon. When you have a simple outfit like the one I’m wearing, don’t be afraid to make your bag or another accessory the star. This brand has a ton of gorgeous bags, I’m obsessed with all of them.
To finish I added some dainty rings, a little dot necklace, and a pair of gold round earrings. They are hard to spot in the photos but I’m linking some of them below. Even a quick search on Etsy for “dainty jewelry” will do the job. I love dainty pieces because you can wear alone or layer them for added impact. My earrings are from an affordable Brooklyn-based jeweler named Sofia Ramsey and she has a ton of cool handmade pieces. The exact pair I’m wearing are her Circle Post Earrings.
While I love a good full look, sometimes it’s nice to just share a sweet and simple “every day” outfit on here. Have a good week!
