Casual Olive Jumpsuit for Fall

There is no denying that I love a jumpsuit. Maybe it’s because they’re so dang cute, or maybe it’s because I love that they require zero brain power for a full outfit. Either way, jumpsuits are perfect for fall when you need an easy outfit but bare legs with a mini dress just won’t do.

How cute is this olive polka dot jumpsuit? It’s perfect for this time of year with long sleeves and heavier twill fabric. On the model, the legs hit at her shins, but I’m 5’4” and they hit me just above the ankles. It runs true to size as I’m wearing a size 4.

Olive is a perfect color for fall; and a great neutral that toggle well between black or brown. (Or in the case of this look – both.) And the polka dots add some fun into an otherwise traditional utility suit.

You can’t really tell form these photos, but there’s a cute little panel detail on the lower back area just above the bum, which helps keep this jumpsuit tailored so you don’t look like Maverick from Top Gun. There are belt loops here if you wanted to accentuate your waist, but it looks cute without one, too!

To cozy things up a bit, I added an easy open cardigan over it and threw this yellow bandana in my hair. Adding a layer and accessories like I did here really takes a simple piece and turns it into an outfit.

STYLE TIP: When I worked at Nordstrom during the summer in college – we always had to abide by the three-piece rule. That is, making sure you always have three items to your look. It’s a weird rule, I know, but it works.

Next time you have a single piece like a dress or jumpsuit, try this. Add a couple layers or a hat/hair accessory and watch your style level go from 10 to 100.

My black Gucci slides are starting to make an appearance now that it’s cooling off and open-toe season is starting to go out the window. You’ll see these a lot; they are hands-down the best designer shoe purchase I have EVER made. I wear them to make a daytime outfit chicer, and to dinner when I’m too lazy for heels.

Shop this olive jumpsuit below to get the look; I also added a couple other casual jumpsuits into the carousel to get you through fall.
