Today I’m sharing 35 casual, comfy spring dresses you can wear now and later come summer when we can (hopefully) go outside again.
On Sunday night, I decided to make a conscious decision for Monday to get up and workout early, shower, and get ready. It was a game changer for me. I am so sick of sweatpants, aren’t you?
I ordered this Free People dress a couple of weeks ago as a pick me up when I was having a bad day. If there’s one thing I have learned about this time right now, it’s that it’s okay to do a little something that makes the world feel normal for ourselves again. Even if it’s for one second. Even if it’s something as trivial as buying a new dress.
SIZE NOTE: Free People always runs a bit big, so I went down one size and got an XS in this dress. There’s a string in neckline to make this dress adjustable… it’s actually pretty cool! You can wear it how I am here, completely off the shoulders, or pull the string tight for more of a high neckline look. It’s also fully lined.
A casual dress like mine is just as comfortable as that pair of sweatpants, but chances are you’ll probably feel a little more inspired to go about your day. I mean, this thing is basically a giant tent with holes and I’m not mad at it!

I know it may be hard to think that far ahead right now, but if you’re being choosy about spending, don’t make impulse purchases you may never use again. Buy things that spark joy now, but that you’ll also get use of once this crazy thing passes.
