Well this is a fun take on the denim jacket, no? My go-to denim jacket was beginning to feel a bit stale (I wear it ALL the time) so when I saw this sherpa-lined one, it was love at first sight.
This is a fun fall take on the classic denim jacket and adds a total element of coziness that sometimes you just don’t get with a denim topper. And believe it or not, it’s actually just as easy to wear with everything you already have in your closet, just like its unlined counterpart.
Take for example, this outfit. I would’ve never thought to put this star dress with such a cozy coat. I kind of love it! To be honest, I stole this look from the Madewell website. A little secret – whenever I find myself in an outfit rut I usually go to their Looks We Love page for some head-to-toe inspiration. It happens to the best of us, right?
Anyway, back to this jacket. It has a slightly oversized silhouette so it’s supposed to be a little boxier than other denim styles. I took this in my regular size, a small. I personally like how it looks but if you want something like this a little more fitted than you could definitely go down a size. This is such a perfect jacket for weird in-between weather that Los Angeles seems to have. It’s never really cold enough for a full on COAT in the fall, but I sometimes find myself needing a little extra layer at night.
These exact boots I’m are last season by Sam Edelman, but I’ve linked a couple of similar ones below. I was, however, able to find a lighter color version of the same style at DSW for only $70! Some scrunched gray socks give this dress more of a mountain-chic look. I thought it went well with the fall vibe of the jacket.
Statement outerwear is definitely in for fall and this sherpa-lined denim jacket is a fun way to wear the trend without investing in something crazy like a pink fur coat (which is totally on my lust-list, BTW). Happy fall-ing!
