My 2018 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Top Picks

Let’s just call this my Olympics. The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is back again and today is the first day that Nordstrom Card holders can get early access. You have to have a Nordstrom Card to actually purchase the items – bot don’t worry if you don’t have one – you can still browse and figure out what you want when the sale goes live to the public next Friday, July 20.

There’s a lot of stuff to choose from so I narrowed down my top picks for shoes and clothing all right here for easy shopping to get some of my favorite stuff. Consider this sale as a first look at all things fall, although there’s a handful of great stuff you can wear now!

FYI: The Nordstrom site has been acting flaky all day so I’m headed to the store to try and snag some things IRL.

I always make sure to stock up on great basics like leggings, t-shirts, and jeans because they are great items that you can always wear. But this is also a really fun time to pick out some on-trend fashion pieces, and you may as well do it now because things will sell out and prices will go back up.

Okay so without further delay (as I try to get my act together and scurry out the door) here and my top pick’s for this year’s Nordstrom Anniversary Sale:

DENIM

BOOTIES & SHOES

JACKETS

TOPS & SWEATERS

DRESSES & JUMPSUITS

Some standout items for me include:

Maria High Rise Jeans by J Brand – these are by far my most favorite silhouette of any pair of jeans I have ever owned. (And that’s saying a lot.) They are the perfect high rise skinny; I love this dark pair because you can wear them during the day in the fall but it’s a great color to dress up at night. If you’re looking for a lighter wash then my favorite pair from this sale is this pair by KUT from the Kloth. Also they are $60 which is an incredible deal.

During the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale last year I picked up a pair of leopard print mules. This year they are offering an almost identical pair by the same brand. Leopard print actually makes for a really great neutral and it’s always a fun pop of print if you’re wearing an otherwise plain outfit. I always get compliments when I wear these, so happy that they’re back this year! (They sold out relatively quickly in 2017 so I suggest you get on these ASAP.)

I’ve been dying to try a pair of white booties and so I’m hoping when I go into the store today that this pair by Marc Fisher is in stock in my size. I love the little dip in the front, which helps elongate the appearance of your leg!

This cozy fleece jacket is great for fall weekends with it’s chilly and you’re out and about running errands. It’s also a really cute loungewear piece if you want to just wear it around the house. BUT I also think that this would actually look so cute a night with a black cami and black jeans! It’s $58; you obviously need this in your life.

Okay so these technically don’t fall into the denim category but I had to include these faux leather leggings by SPANX in this round up because they are AMAZING. I purchased a pair full price earlier in the year and even for the original price of $98 they are totally worth it. ON SALE BTW – for $65. They suck you in, are super slimming, and have a seamless front front for a flattering fit. Plus I love the leather look because when you want to be lazy, you’ll still look put together.

Last but not least, I love love love this floral dress by Rebecca Taylor. Rachel Parcell of Pink Peonies posted this in a dressing room post, and I love it so much. It’ll look super cute with those white booties and then as it gets cooler, super cute with black booties and a leather jacket.

I’m going to be doing a handful of different posts throughout the three weeks of this sale, so keep checking back! also PRO TIP: If something is sold out, keep going back to the site – things come and go so often, you still may be able to get it!

Happy shopping, Nordstrom Anniversary Sale lovers!
