As a fashion and (sometimes) beauty blogger, I’ve tried tons of products. Products to use on camera, products to use in real life, and other products to test and review if I like them. I’ve built up a pretty hefty collection of makeup, but I hate over-accumulating things, so I try to keep everything down to one drawer, and as organized as possible.
Here’s what’s currently inside my makeup drawer, and current makeup favorites.
Charlotte Tilbury Overnight Bronze and Glow Mask – Despite what the lovely ladies at the counter will tell you, this is a self-tanner for the face. However, this one takes the cake on facial self tanners, because there’s no smell to it. I hate using a self tanner, only to smell that fragrance all day, don’t you? I’ve used this a few times and within a couple of days my face was noticeably sun kissed looking, without any hint of orange.
Marc Jacobs Beauty Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter – A few drops of this directly on your cheekbones will give you a radiant glow that’s slightly dewy, but not greasy looking. I like to mix it in with my moisturizer for an all-over glow when I go out at night. Like the name suggests, it is made with coconut ingredients, so if that’s not your thing then you won’t like this. I personally love the smell, as it gives you a mini vacation during application.
Honest Beauty Cream Blush in Truly Exciting – I love pretty much anything that Jessica Alba touches, and her makeup line is affordable and luxurious at the same time. I also happen to love any makeup product that gets me out of the door quickly. There’s no need to use a brush with this – I simply use my fingers and dab onto my cheeks. When I’m in a pinch, this cream blush does double duty and acts as a lip color.
Charlotte Tilbury Modern-Matte Lipstick in Pillow Talk – I’m new to this brand, but totally crushing what this lady has going on here. I did a mini shopping spree with a bunch of her products and I love all of them. Apparently, this lipstick is based off of her best-selling lip liner. I can see why the color is so popular. I think I have finally found the perfect nude lip. The shade is on the pink side, without being too pink. Usually I end up looking dead in nude shades, but this lipstick brought out the natural pink in my lips, while still maintaining a “no makeup makeup” look.
Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Whiskey – On the totally opposite side of the lipstick spectrum is my new favorite bold lip color by Bite Beauty. It’s a dark mahogany color with serious staying power and doesn’t leave my lips chapped. FYI this shade is super dramatic, but it looks AMAZING. Whenever I’m feeling edgy or need a major pick me up to boost my outfit, I reach for this. I instantly feel cooler when I wear this shade. It’s really easy to apply, and equally as easy to clean up any mistakes around the lip line.
